Before we got Buster, Bronka and I used to take Polly on walks. Bronka and I would go on walks on the levy near her home. When we walked on the levy, sometimes we would see Buster roaming around by himself. Bronka called him a free spirit. He would love seeing us and come play with Polly. We thought he was soooo cute! Then he would take off. But Buster got into trouble for chasing the deer around the area. A neighbor called Animal Control and they were out looking for Buster. He was a wanted dog! Everytime we would see the vehicle, we knew his days were numbered. Well, I felt sorry for Buster and found out who the owner was. I have never met the owner, but met the people who lived with him when they were outside the owner's yard. They lived near our home. I asked them about Buster and told them if the owner did not want him, that we would take him. After a couple of weeks, the owner finally said we could have Buster, because Animal Control was going to fine him if he did not keep him at his home. Since the owner could not afford the fines, he allowed us to take Buster. I was so excited! Polly and Buster got along so well when they would see one another. Buster was the name his owner had named him, so we kept that name. After taking Buster, we took him into the vet and Buster got a good check up as well as all of his shots and fixed.
Buster is a very happy dog. He and Polly are in a large fenced in yard and we have a doggie door, on our back door, which he learned how to use and has access into the house whenever he wants. We have had him for two years now and love him dearly. Bronka was so happy that we took him in and always says that she can relate to Buster, as he was saved and is in a good home and well taken care of. Buster always gives Bronka kisses and she always giggles when he does this.
